If you are looking to eat some quick, street style momos that are spicy, juicy and full of flavour, order in from Extra Cheese. Oddly, the name doesn’t suggest anything they have on their menu. They serve a decent variety of momos, from veg, mushrooms to chicken, steamed, fried or sizzling, mild to very spicy.
We ordered the Mushroom Sizzling Momos and Chicken Steamed Momos. They both came with 2 dips (chutneys if you may); a spicy red one and a green one with a mild garlic flavour.
Steamed chicken momos were steamed just right. It had the right ratio of filling to dough. The size of the momos were a whole mouthful.
Mushroom Sizzling Momos were steamed and then fried in a really spicy sauce, which when dipped in the sauces they come with creates an enjoyable heatwave in your mouth, and still makes you want to reach out for another one.
These are one of the best momos I have had in Abudhabi. Have it as a snack, or a light dinner.
