Aguas Frescas originally means fresh waters in Spanish. Fresh fruits are pulped and water is added to dilute the liquid. It is the popular way of having a fruit based drink in Mexico and Central America. There is no rule on what fruits go into this pulp. They can range from a simple orange or watermelon to a passion fruit, cucumber or even tamarind.
I have used watermelon as the principal fruit and gave it a summery spin calling it the Summery Watermelon Twist.
Ingredients
Watermelon ………………………..1/4 of a large watermelon
Sugar ………………………………….6-7 teaspoons
Lemon Juice ………………………..5-6 tablespoons
Mint leaves …………………………..12 chopped leaves

Method
- Cut the watermelon into chunks and spin it in the food processor.
- Sieve the pulp and crushed seeds out.
- Add the sugar, lemon juice and mint leaves.
- Stir the ingredients together. While doing so the mint leaves will bruise enough to suffuse their flavour into the juice.
- Pour in a glass. Garnish it with fresh mint leaves and a slice of lemon to give it that “twist” look.
You actually make it seem really easy along with your presentation however I find this topic to be
really one thing which I believe I might never understand.
It sort of feels too complicated and extremely broad for me.
I am having a look forward on your subsequent post, I will attempt to get the cling of it!
